Licenses
All cyclists wanting to participate in road cycling events longer than 20km have to have a license, this is in accordance with the Cycling South Africa rules. It is beneficial to you to purchase a cycling license at the beginning of the year to ensure maximum benefit at other events as well as the Amashova.
License fee R75 to CSA plus R35 to your cycling province = R110
If you would like a full racing license you can apply for one at a cost of R350 and can be bought online at www.cyclingsa.com
If you only want to cycle one race a year then you can purchase a day license when you do your online entry for R35. You will not be seeded with a day license and will be batched at the back of the race
Bus Transport
Bus transport to the start in PMB as well as bus transport to PMB after the race is offered. Bicycles are packed onto a truck the day before the race and stored at Carbineers Hall on Saturday night. The bus leaves the Kings Park Pool on Sunday morning and will drop you off at Carbineers Hall.
If you would like to drop your bicycle off in PMB on the Saturday then you can do so at Carbineers Hall between 10h00 and 16h00.
Hospitality
If you would like to be part of the action at the finish of the Shova then why not hire a hospitality site. We only have 15 sites available and they include a 6x6m marquee, tables, chairs, table clothes, plants and picket fencing. All food and beverage orders must be done through the Moses Mabhida Food and Beverage Manager.
